Professional Paver Sealing & Sanding in Tallahassee, FL
Protect, Restore, and
Beautify Your Pavers
TALLAHASSEE’S GO-TO PAVER SEALING SERVICE
Florida’s heat, humidity, and frequent rain are tough on pavers. Over time, color fades, joints wash out, and weeds and algae begin to take over patios, driveways, and pool decks. Our professional paver sanding and sealing service restores rich color, stabilizes the joints, and protects your pavers from the elements — so your outdoor spaces stay beautiful and your investment lasts longer.
At Around The Bend Pressure Washing, we don’t use “one-size-fits-all” methods. Depending on your surface, joint condition, and environment, we use either professional-grade joint sand or polymeric sand, followed by premium Trident sealers designed for North Florida conditions. The result: stronger joints, reduced weeds, richer color, and pavers that are easier to maintain year after year.

Our Paver Sanding & Sealing Process
Inspection and Prep
We start with a detailed inspection to identify problem areas like loose pavers, failing joints, stains, or drainage issues. We also protect surrounding landscaping, walls, and pool areas to ensure a safe, clean work environment.
Deep Cleaning
Using professional washing equipment and cleaners, we remove dirt, algae, mildew, efflorescence, and old buildup from the surface and joints. This creates a clean, stable foundation so the sand and sealer perform like they’re supposed to.
Joint Sanding
Once the surface is dry, we install high-quality joint sand or polymeric sand (depending on your paver system and environment) to stabilize the joints, reduce shifting, and help keep weeds at bay.
Sealer Application
We apply premium Trident paver sealers designed for Florida’s heat, rain, and humidity. Whether you prefer a natural finish, matte protection, or an enhanced “wet look,” we’ll help you choose the right finish for your home.
Final Walkthrough
We complete a final walkthrough with you, answer any questions, and provide simple care instructions — including curing time and when you can walk or drive on the pavers.

FAQs
Paver Sanding & Sealing Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the sanding and sealing process take?
Most residential paver sealing projects are completed in 1–2 days. Larger areas, heavily soiled pavers, or pavers that require extra drying time may take a little longer. The type of sand and sealer we use can also affect timing — but we’ll review this with you before work begins so you know exactly what to expect.
How long before I can walk or drive on the pavers?
You can typically walk on sealed pavers after 4–6 hours.
For driveways, we recommend waiting 48 hours before parking vehicles, so the sealer has time to fully cure and protect the surface properly.
Will sealing make my pavers slippery?
No. We use professional-grade sealers designed for driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks. If needed, we can also add a non-slip additive for extra traction in wet or high-traffic areas.
How long does paver sealer last?
Most paver sealers last 3–5 years, depending on the type of sealer, sunlight exposure, traffic, drainage, and maintenance. Florida weather can be tough on pavers, but we’ll help you determine when a reseal is needed so your pavers continue to stay protected.
Do I need to be home during the service?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the paver areas and a water source, we can complete the service for you. We keep you updated before, during, and after the job — including photos if you’re away.
Do you use polymeric sand or regular sand?
Yes — depending on your paver system and environment, we’ll recommend either polymeric sand or high-quality joint sand. The goal is proper stabilization, reduced washout, and long-term performance — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Can sealing fix loose, sinking, or uneven pavers?
Sealing helps stabilize joints and reduce movement, but it is not a structural repair. If you have areas that are sunken or shifting, we can discuss repair options before sealing to ensure the best long-term results.
Will sealing stop weeds completely?
Sealing and proper joint sanding help reduce weed growth significantly, but nothing can prevent it 100%. Weeds come from airborne seeds, irrigation, and soil conditions. However, sealing makes maintenance easier and helps prevent growth between stones.
Does sealing change the color or make pavers shiny?
It can, depending on what you want. We offer natural finishes, matte protection, and enhanced (“wet look”) finishes. We’ll help you choose the right look for your home and explain exactly what to expect.
